Cemetery

Happy Halloween everyone!!!  Hope you are all in a trick or treating mood :)

I wanted to do a project other than a scrapbook page...I found this cemetery at Michael's.
 Here's the completed project.
This skeleton is the gate keeper.  He holds the key.  I painted him from an ugly tan color to white. The chain that holds the key came from a broken necklace.
I picked up the pumpkin at Michael's in the floral section.  These two tombstones are from my stamps.  The crooked fence chipboard is from Dusty Attic.
The cross was also from Michael's in the wood section.  I used a really cool Recollections Lenticular sticker that says "Ben Better" in the inscription. The RIP tombstone is another stamp of mine.
This raven is another Dusty Attic piece. I sprayed him with 2 glimmer mists...one purple then a black-ish color.
I put a lock on the chain that's holding the gate closed.  Both from my stash.  The moss on the ground came from my Halloween décor.
I used some stickles for his red eyes.
The broomstick is awesome!  It's from Tim Holtz's collection that I also found at Michael's.
These creepy gargoyles are by Dusty Attic as well. I used an used dryer sheet for all the webs.

I have a ton of premade Halloween scrapbook pages for sale in my Etsy shop.  Please come by to visit.

Oct 31 2011

Hi scrappy friends!  It's my fave time of year again...Halloween!  WOOT WOOT! Yes, my fave subject/event to scrap.  The darker and more morbid, the better! Bring it! Bahahaha!  So here are my kids 6 years ago.  Gosh time flies.  I used some of my old Scraps of Darkness kits and some goodies of my own. The black web was from the Dollar Tree...just cut it up to fit in the corner.  The 3 layers of bg paper are Moxxie's All Hallows Eve line, from an old SOD kit.  The chipboard elements are My Mind's Eye from the same kit.
That skull coming out of the Dusty Attic haunted house was from a plastic ring.  I painted it black and stickled the eyes.  The house was dusted with dry glitter mist dust before adding a layer of glossy mod podge to make it stick.
I got the chipboard cross from Michael's and painted it black then added a Tim Holtz's skull n cross bones.
If you look closely you can see a couple of ghosts in the windows.

The white cobwebs are from a used dryer sheet.  I just pulled them apart to stretch it out.
This orange spider is from another plastic ring that I took apart.  The couple of papers here are Tim Holtz's Halloween paper stash.

I opened an Etsy shop!  Please stop by and have a look :)

Chato

This is Chato, my daughters' aunt's dog.  He just recently survived a twisted/flipped stomach and the surgery to correct it.  Jasmine asked me if I would scrap a page for her aunt as a gift to celebrate.  I of course used some older Scraps of Darkness kits on this layout.
This pin was made by CraftySprinkles (Mandy) for one of the first kits.  It was the perfect colors I needed to make this masculine page work.
I tried to make the bones look like they just got dug up. I also made some bite marks around the newspaper.

This piece of corkboard is loose behind the handstitched picture mat so they can put Chato's pawprint on there.

Make sure you check out my new Etsy shop: CMomGoScraps I have a lot of my pages on sale and continue adding more each week, so stop by :)

Oct 8

Hello my amazing scrappy friends!  It has been years, trust me, I know.  Things in my life are finally settling down, sort of like a dust storm. This is the first creative thing I have made in years.  I created this page for my nephew and his bride, as part of their wedding gift.  They tied the knot on Oct 8th.  Making this page was a bit challenging since I have forgotten how to do so much. I used quite a bit of my old Scraps of Darkness kits on here. But it was like Christmas for me all over again going through all my scrappy things...forgot more than half of what I actually have.  I have been gathering quite a bit to do a giveaway soon, so be on the lookout for that ;)

I opened an Esty shop! As of right now it has some of my old pages for sale. So if you are looking for a premade scrapbook page, maybe for a gift...head on over!  CMomGoScraps
