Life's Journey

This is for the 2nd weekly ATG challenge.  The specs I used were:

1. Cool colors

2.  To use 2 photos of yourself 10 years apart.

3. Use a small red garnet bling.

4. Have the word life in the title.

5. I had to pick 3 things from the list and I did 5 out of 10. They were: To use at lease 3 circular elements, water distressing, paper rolling, hand written journaling, bubble wrap stenciling.

So these 2 photos are of me.  The one to the right is my current 2021 pic and the other was taken in 2011 almost 10 years apart to the month.
Prima flowers with a mirror circle.  The black flower and the sparkly leaf were from my friend Pat :)
I used bubble wrap as my stencil with white gesso paint then sprayed over it with a turquoise blue color.
The diamond chipboard is from Creative Embellishments.  I painted it white then sprayed over it and then ran a stamp over it for the black check mark.

Life's was yellow and I painted it black.  The word life was by itself and I managed to cut out a s from another word to put it together.  Thank you Pat for the title stickers :)

This star is a Betsey Johnson earring.  I LOVE IT!!!  And I have it dangling.
Some Prima washi tape and I stitched over paper, pics, tape for my first time.

My journaling is behind this photo in a pocket.

Time for a New Year

Here's my New Year page!  I agreed to do the ATG Challenge over at scrapbook.com with my friend Pat, who is the host.  For the first week's challenge was the year of the ox.  The specs were:

1. A "Hello 2021" photograph
2. It's the Chinese year of the OX, so use an X and an O somewhere on your project
3. Let's also use a piece of "cow color brown" paper - solid or patterned doesn't matter. (Any color brown cow will work - swiss, herford, etc...)
4. It's also a METAL Ox year, so your feature embellishment must have a metal "look." It doesn't have to BE metal - metallic paint would be acceptable.

So my photo is the first one I took on New Year's Day 2021.  I was trying to brag to my cousin that it was a beautiful sunny day, with the sun shining through my backyard and the visibility of my mountains just beyond the tree.

I am in the desert so I used Prima's Golden Desert collection.  The chipboard is Creative Embellishments' succulents.
There is my o and x...saying xoxo 2020.
The title came from Tim Holtz stickers, layered on papers.

I cross stitched by hand, used some lace and cardboard.  The papers and big clock are all cow brown colors.
These die cut gears came from my friend Dria and they just so happen to be cut out of metallic paper. :)
The small brown die cut clock was from Pat :)  I also have a metal TH clock, I painted to make it look more like rose gold than brown.

Also from Dria :)

I ended up selling this page :)

Great Outdoors

I absolutley love the new Prima Golden Desert collection.  Especially because I live in the desert ;)

This is my great niece Saylor Grace in 2020.
I got these super cool cacti succulent chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments.  I also used corrugated cardboard, lace, fabric from old pants and burlap for layers of textures.
The wagon wheels are also from CE.  The metal pieces are Prima.
The bolo was something from my old stash I  got from my dad's second wife.
These chipboard pieces are 49 and Market.

Holiday Puppy Love

So this page was sorta thrown together right after Christmas before I put all my Christmas scrappy stuff away.  Unfortunately this year, I only made this one Christmas page :(

That is Guy and Gisselle, quite the pair, of best buds in 2019.  Guy has his reindeer toy in the pic, so it made sense especially with their Santa hats, to make this a Santa and his reindeer page.
That felt Santa was from the dollar tree.  I added googly eyes to this sticker reindeer (which I am obsessed over googly eyeballs) lol.
I put different trim in between each paper layer.

The dog bone came from a dog sweater's tag and I plopped a Tim Holtz chipboard word over it with a dollar tree Santa's hat.

Our Story

I made this for my parents for Christmas.  I didn't know what else to get them, so a framed page was the result.  The bg paper was from my friend Pat, which I think is a Prima piece.

This photo was taken on one of my parent's first dates
The torn papers are ephemera from 49 & Market.  I used some prills around the Creative Embellishments' lattice chipboard. The vine and flowers are all 49 & Market too.
The heart chipboard pieces are Creative Embellishments.
This chipboard flourish is Dusty Attic.
Hard to see but I used some jute twine to tie around the photo under the vine.

Love You

This card started as a birthday card but I was taking too long to make it so then it turned into a thank you card for my parents.  I was REALLY  out of practice making cards, so this was a hard struggle and it has a mismatch of old and new stuff on it lol.  The top of the bow has a brooch attached from ebay.

The stitched frames are 49 & Market.

This heart made of petals is Prima.

Cherish

Here's my ditto page so I can keep one for myself!  I added a little more to this one hahaha!
Again, this is Cali in 2013.
I did better stamping this time! lol

Trying to make another pink ribbon wasn't working out so I used some lace instead!  I have had that charm in my stash since forever so it finally found a home.

Not only did I add the trim, I also added pearls.

The sprays were from a craft store.
