Escape

I loved how the layout of Bliss turned out so I made another to keep for myself while I sold the other one.  Again, this is Andrew at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas in August 2016.

I decided to use this one for my May Mixed Media Challenge entry over on Scrapbook.com.

The two pages are a lot alike but also different in many ways.  I used the same Captured Adventures 49 and Market papers.

The anchor and title are 49 and Market chipboard pieces.  The net is Dusty Attic.
The wheel is a Creative Embellishment piece that was white washed, crackled then inked.
The flowers and pipes are 49 and Market.
I treated the corrugated torn cardboard with white washed gesso paint and then used some glitter mod podge over it.  Underneath, it has misted cheesecloth and white washed burlap for more texture.

Bliss

This is Andrew digging into the sand at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas CA in August 2016.  A view of true Bliss.
The papers used are Captured Adventures by 49 and Market.
I bought a package of starfish from Michael's and when I opened it up they stunk so bad, like rotten fish that I had to put outside to air out.  They are super brittle and most of them were already chipped.  I used mod podge to keep the ones I used on the page from chipping further.
The fishing net is Dusty Attic, which I added some pearl beads to.  The flowers are 49 and Market.  The anchor is Creative Embellishments.
The sand dollar and blue pearl are 49 and Market die cut sticker bubbles.
I put a small piece of paper into a glass bottle for a "message in a bottle" embellishment.
This chipboard is also from Creative Embellishments.  I white washed it, crackled it then inked it for a distressed beachy look.
I used white washed burlap and misted cheesecloth for texture under the corrugated cardboard that was white washed and then got a layer of glitter mod podge.  The stitch work is all hand done.

Remember Today

If some of you recognize this page it's because I made something almost identical a couple of weeks ago.  I loved the first one so much, I made a second, since I had most of the same products, to be able to make it to sell.  There were just a couple of differences like the heart, title, type of fencing and floral arrangements.
Again, this is my nephew's bride being walked down the aisle by her dad.  October 2017

See the World

This here is my gorgeous niece, Lorrisa.
I used 49 and Market's Captured Adventures paper line.
Prima flower with a Prima resin window frame.

49 and Market chipboard with some glimmer misted cheesecloth.  In order to fold down the corner of this layout, I dampened the paper with some water to make it easier.
Dusty Attic chipboard, painted with molding paste for texture then covered with gesso and rhinestones.
I covered my graph paper stamp with gesso to stamp with, then misted over the area with glimmer mist.

Family (for sale on Etsy)

These couple of photos are of some more lost relatives from my dad's second wife's collection.  I made this page to match up to the last one I created of my Grams and I called Family Time, so I can sell this one Etsy.  I have never created two of the same before and of course wasn't able to make them exactly alike because everything I make will always have its own uniqueness since I don't have it in me to create the exact same thing twice.
49 and Market and Prima flowers
Torn paper from an old dictionary hand sewed on like the borders around the page.
 Recollections wooden clock inked up.
Recollections wooden title inked up as well as the wooden frame.

Thanks for stopping by!

Family Time

Happy National Scrapbook Day friends!  I made this page as an example for the May Childhood Challenge over on Scrapbook.com.  For this month in honor of Mother's Day one of the options is to scrap yourself with your mom or grandmother.  So this is me in 1981 with my maternal grandma, I am one year old.
I used Prima paper and flowers.  The large clock is a Kasiercraft wooden chipboard.  The word Family, butterflies, buttons and the intricate clock are by Michael's Recollection line.  I hand stitched around the page and did some stamping with my Blue Fern stamps.  The chicken wire is Dusty Attic.
The keys and stopwatch are charms I found on Amazon.

The torn paper is from an old dictionary.  I hand sewed it on.

Thank you for taking a peek.  If you would like to see how I created anything specifically, let me know and I will make  a tutorial.
