Here is my attempt at making a flower....to me, it looks like it died lol. I really don't have a green thumb.

Bake

This is the Punky Scraps sketch for April.

This is my take on it. I went really out of my comfort zone with these cute and bright die cuts. This is one of my favorite photos of all 3 of my kids together. Journal: The kids had a bake off! They each decorated their own cupcakes after they helped make them. Papi was the judge. Gisselle won! Summer 2009

Those rhinestones are supposed to look like chocolate muffins that I colored in with my marker lol.

Howdy Partner ~ Scraps of Darkness

Another page from the Foundations kit from SOD. I can't get enough of these awesome papers and unique embellies. For this page I used sketch #216 from Sketch Inspiration. I added some more layers and made this into a masculine cowboy page. This is my husband and his dad back in 1986.

I tried making tumble weeds out of the moss. I roughed up the edges to the TH alpha stickers. All the clocks I used were all semi circles, perfect for tucking them behind.

I tried making a lasso around this journal tag.

A DA piece from an older kit. I punched some holes to use the reinforcers I love.

I used the colors that Punky Scraps is using for a Spring color challenge. Yellow, green and orange. I used some gears and a boat attached to a hot air balloon for a Steam Punk theme as well.

This was made from the Foundations kit from April. I used the Bo Bunny Sketch by Juliana Michaels . These are my in-laws. I never met my FIL. He passed away before I met my husband. These photos were taken around 1974.

Time Apart ~ Scraps of Darkness

Here is the dark side of me!!! I used the Foundations kit for April from SOD and some things from my stash to make this page. Since my husband and I don't spend much time together, and we always seem apart, I thought I wold scrap it out!!! So I ripped our photo apart, as well as the clock. I also pulled some petals off the large flower to show more distress and sadness. Photo taken in June 2010.

The journal reads: Time is torn when we are not together. I made my own chain of charms.

All of the flowers were white, so I blackened them up.

Good or Bad

I created this for the Skeleton's in Your Closet challenge over at Scraps of Darkness. Anyone can join in the fun, you don' t have to use a kit!! This challenge was "Define Yourself" with a twist of cutting yourself out. So I made my good side and bad side. Kind of like my own heaven and hell lol. Mandy did all the photo editing!! She totally rocks! These pics were just taken in April 2011. You decide what side of me you like ;)

Sunday Best ~ Scraps of Darkness

Here is another page made using the Foundations kit for April from SOD. I love these Bo Bunny papers. I was inspired by the Stuck On U sketch by Beggahuna, so this is my creation. This photo is my dad with his parents in 1941.

This is the beautiful pin that came in the kit made by Mandy. I tucked in some burlap here and there...love that stuff!!!

I used some red Smooch paint on the brown flowers. The DA piece was from an older kit.

Here is the 2nd DT sketch (02-11) revealed from Sketches Creatively Yours. Once I saw those drawn out flourishes, I immediately had an image of hair. And being that my family are big fans of the new Disney movie Tangled....this is the page I created. I cut the hair out of my paper stack called Once Upon a Time and used Jasmine's hair cut photos. Most of these flowers came from the dollar store. The journal tag says: 12 inches cut off for Locks of Love.

Beat the Heat

This was made using a sketch (#214) from Sketch Inspiration. I was so out of my comfort zone with this very colorful and cutesy page, it took me forever. Mandy Harrell helped me out with this photo, by lightening it up, thanks girl! Journal: Andrew's first time swimming! This is the look he gave the whole time...so serious! It was in July 2005, when it was 126 outside. The pool was so warm.
