Scraps of Darkness Reveal *December Kit*

This is the new "Winter's Eve" kit for December from Scraps of Darkness.  It withholds the elegant Bo Bunny Enchanted, Glitz Beautiful Dreamer and some festive Creative Imaginations Winter Song papers.  There are so many wonderful embellies to drool over, you can create so many different themed los.

This is the stunning monthly sketch by Suepup.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I love the purple against the black, so I did keep that theme.  I flipped the sketch around though.  I saw this sketch as very romantic so I scrapped a photo of my parents at their wedding in 1960 cutting the cake, which holds the title "Our Cake".  I mixed some Creative Imaginations papers with one from Bo Bunny.

This chandelier is Dusty Attic (Romance add-on) that I misted with some of Lindy's mist (Color add-on) and added some Zva crystals to from a previous kit.

The angel is a Bo Bunny trinket (Romance add-on).  I made a tear and laced it up to add interest.

Here is another romantic page, with a photo of me.  I used a ton of the Bo Bunny Enchanted line.  Using a lot of the chipboard, papers and a trinket.  I titled this page "Tender".  I felt like it showed the soft, and romantic side of me.  Sep 2011

Those roses are Prima (Flora & Fauna add-on) surrounded by the BB chipboard.  The black lace (main kit) is tucked in the tear.

The bird is a BB chipboard.  The pearl is Webesters (main kit).  I did a lot of paper rolling for these scroll like designs.

Scraps of Darkness & Punky Scraps ~ X-mas Morning

Merry Christmas everyone!  This is Punky Scraps Challenge 36 for the month of December.  This cute little bear is supposed to help you get inspired with the Christmas mood.
This very cool sketch was designed by Natalie MacDonald.

As there is only one challenge we will incorporate all three of our monthly challenges into one!!

You have your picture above for the Christmas cheer, the sketch below for inspiration and the twist is to Get Picky using at least ONE of the following:
* corrugated cardboard*
*stamping*
*paint*
*misting*
*stars*
*ribbon*

Well comparing to Halloween, I obviously don't scrap Christmas los that much lol.  But with this Punky Scraps Challenge 36, it was easy enough to do, but in a funky way.  I found some not so great Christmas photos, that weren't really good for using on a single picture lo, but fabulous to cut apart to create a mosaic design with.   And these funky pics worked perfectly with my hippie/funky "Purple Haze", November kit, from Scraps of Darkness.  I did some bubble wrap stamping with gesso on my Bo Bunny Garden Girl, Basic Grey Indie Bloom and Glitz Dance in Sunshine papers, after layering them up.  I also painted those peace sign brads (main kit) black adding them on the borders for  more interest and funk.  The Christmas lights ribbon is a broken necklace from my junk stash.  These are my kids on Christmas morning in 2009.

Those Tim Holtz stars came from my stash, which I misted and added some gesso and ink to.  The Magic tag (main kit) was misted and inked as well.
The smaller photos are of my Christmas tree and bows from opened presents.

Scraps of Darkness *Nov Kit* ~ You Make Me Happy

Sorry it has been awhile, but things have been hectic in my real world, one thing after another.  It is nice to escape to my passion, and get a break.  So here is a page I made using the fabulous lovely "Purple Haze" kit from Scraps of Darkness.  I used a Stuck on U Sketch by Page Maps to make this warm and happy page of my oldest daughter, Jasmine in April 2011.
I liked this cute Prima nest (Romance add-on) to fulfill the nature theme I have going on, coming from the photo up in a tree.  The owl die cut (main kit) also seemed to fit in perfectly, surrounded by some Dusty Attic mushrooms from my stash.  I colored them using some Lindy's Magicals.
These Indie Bloom flowers (main kit) are from Basic Grey which are very fun and just pop off the page.  The title is a Bo Bunny Garden Girl rub on (Romance add-on).
