Femme Fatale ~ Scraps of Darkness

Now this is a page that totally screams me!!!!  I love every inch of what I created here.  I think it shows my personality very well....romantic, soft, feminine and dangerous lol.  I used a lot of different Scraps of Darkness kits and some other things from my stash.  This is me in Feb 2011.

Scraps of Darkness & Sketches: Creatively Yours ~ Puppies Gone Wild

So here is a new DT sketch reveal from Sketches: Creatively Yours.  This wonderful sketch (10-11) was hand drawn by our head designer Alison McDonald.  Please come by and visit us on the S:CY blog or on Facebook!!!
This is my take on the sketch, using the fun and wild June kit called, Welcome to the Jungle, from Scraps of Darkness.  This kit is full of the new Bo Bunny Zoology papers, lots of brand new Prima and so much more!!  You must see for yourself!
These are my cute and obviously wild pups, Angel and K-Oz, in May 2011.
I used the stains, paint and ink that came with this kit, throughout the whole page (plus some of my own inks and gesso).   I attempted to use the distress embossing powder on my leaves for my first time.  The feathers were from my stash.
I used some of my alcohol inks to color the chipboard flowers.  I added some of the stickers for the journaling.

Scraps of Darkness *June Kit* ~ Jeep Safari

So here is my fun and whimsical page I had to make with this wild kit called, Welcome to the Jungle,  from Scraps of Darkness.  These Bo Bunny Zoology papers were a lot of fun to create with.  I did some fussy cutting, punching and added a lot of imagination.  And my awesome co-designer Renea hooked us up with these wonderful butterflies that she put together for us to print out.  Thanks girl!!!
This photo needed a lot of cropping.  So with my trusty scissors and creative mind, I put this together.  Andrew was in another photo, so I added him to the back of the jeep, replacing another kid lol.  The girls were on a ride at the fair so this vehicle had no wheels, so I added those as well.  I think it worked perfectly!!!  Feb 2006

Scraps of Darkness Reveal *June Kit*

"Welcome to the Jungle!!" Seriously, Welcome to the Jungle is the name of this new fabulous June kit from none other than Scraps Of Darkness. This kit withholds the new Zoology papers from Bo Bunny that was just released, as well as a whole lot of brand new Prima items, and a ton of other fabulous goodies!!! I have a wild family, so this kit was a lot of fun for me to use.

Here is the awesome sketch that comes with this month's kit made by Charlotte (Suepup).
This is my take on the sketch. I went on the wild side. My son is in the sprinklers outside in our front yard, and he looked like Tarzan, therefore the title, "Jungle Boy". May 2010
I did some fussy cutting with the monkeys, leaves and leopard. I used crackle paint and Stickles on the the thick foliage chippies. I used my personal vine punch and green leaves. I made some scratches just for an extra wild touch.
This page is for the Stalker Challenge, Renea is hosting over at Scraps of Darkness. We are to scrap out favorite band or music artist. I chose "Enya", I listen to her music all of the time, at work, in the car and even on my blog.
The gorgeous stick pin came in the kit, made by Mandy. I used my new personal tear edger to make those zig zag corners and I did some lacing with some new eyelets and string.
I punched a strip of paper with a flower lace design, and cut each individual piece to glue them around the half circle.
Here is my dark page. I got some black cs from my stash, some mist, paint, a Gothic Arch punch and stamps to help make this lo. My husband and I just got off, the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios, pretty wet, hence the title "Wet & Wild", in Aug 2009.
I layered the dragonfly to achieve this 3-D look with both pieces that came in the kit. I used a black Sharpie to color the Prima crystal roses. I used the cream cs that came with the kit for this gray, stamped bg.

Here is a page, where I used a lot of extra scraps, nothing ever goes to waste. I used 2 different parts of punched leftovers on this page, the orange borders and green grass, and a lot of different sized papers that had holes in them or were cut short. This is Andrew and the first time he went to a big park. I titled this "Lets Go Exploring". March 2006.
I love the vintage trinkets that came with this kit and used 2 of them on here. I also got a new TH ink pad and inked this page up.

Sketches: Creatively Yours (08-11) ~ RIP

Here is another awesome DT work sketch hand drawn by Alison McDonald from www.creativelyyourssketches.blogspot.com. I kind of went over the top morbid on this particular sketch, since I had smaller Halloween photos that I thought would work well with this design. I placed the extra photo in the middle of my tombstone instead of outside "the box". These photos were from Oct 31, 2009 of some of our decorations we put out front for Trick or Treating.
You are more than welcome to use this sketch, and we would love to see your take on it, so please link yours to our S:CY blog. You can also find us on Facebook.
I used some Creepy Cloth for the frame. I cut out my own tombstone by hand.
The spider is one of those plastic rings. Great embellish!!!
The alphas are spider web covered.
