For this page I used the November Rain kit. I love how this turned out. I wanted to go wild and cool and I got just that. I shrunk some pics so I could fit my Locks Of Love Hair Cut on this one page (12 inches were cut off). I am entering this in the Paints/Mists Challenge at SB.com. I went crazy with some black paint, letting it drip on my paper, then blending it in a little with a paper towel. I used Natasha's lacing technique for some flair. The awesome pin came with the kit, made by Mandy. The silver string, eyelets, silver circle clips and black lace were from my stash. This is me in Dec 2010.

1. distressing tool (optional)
2. ink with blender (optional)
3. spray bottle with water
4. heating tool (optional)
5. lace (optional)
6. double sided paper for the top (preferred)
7. paper for the bottom
Ink and distress the edges (optional).
Use your spray bottle to spritz around all the edges of the paper you are going to scrunch. Use your finger to blend and spread the water and let the ink run wild.
Going back to the first edge of where you spritzed, use a pinching motion to scrunch the paper. Depending on how much scrunching you want, move your pinching around like a zig zag motion, you may add more water if you need to for the effect you want.
Here I am bending back a fold that was slightly torn. I like to show off both sides of double sided paper.
I use a low heat setting so my paper won't fly away, to dry around the edges and it makes the paper stiff. Air drying works too, but takes longer.

Here is the first page I have made of my mom since she has passed away in December. I used the beautiful Time Flies kit with bits and pieces from previous kits. This page will be submitted in the Book of Me Challenge for Jan 2011 at SB.com. Her death had the greatest impact of my year for 2010. I wanted to make a page that would hold some journaling of my heartache. So that envelope holds : "The Ironies of Your Death" How angry I was at God for 'taking you away from me' when you were diagnosed with cancer. Then at the end I pleaded with him to take you away, so you wouldn't have to suffer anymore. It feels like I hardly got to have you in my life, that you were taken too soon. But I was fortunate to have you in my life, as long as I did. I miss you so much and I know I will never see you again. But then, when my journey is over here, we will be together again. This picture of my mom was taken in 1957.
Here is the envelope that holds my heartache. I inked and stamped it with script. I used some cut outs from the Lost and Found Collection to decorate it as well.

I used the August Midnight Garden kit to make this page of my niece with her senior pictures. I liked using the owl since it ties to graduation and intelligence. I kept with using white and black and red which were her high school colors. My Mind's Eye Meadow Lark papers went perfectly with my color theme.
I cut the mascot, title and class motto from her graduation notice/card. I love using real scraps.
