Well it is a bitter sweet reveal day for Sketches: Creatively Yours. It is the end of the DT term, so this is the last sketch for this round. Ann Seleshanko, our senior designer put this sketch together...isn't it fabulous? I hope you have a chance to come by and take a look at the rest of the DT's inspirational pages. We are also on Facebook.
So this is what I came up with using the amazing September Kit, "Passages", from Scraps of Darkness. Yes I over embellished a little lol. I couldn't help myself. I added lots of layers and distress work too. This is my street corner to my house. Mandy (craftysprinkles) was kind to edit my photo to give it an aged look. Thank you girl!
I am a total home body therefore this has a lot of special meaning to me.
My journal: It is such a great feeling to be on the corner streets of my house. That means I am close to being home. Sep 2011
I added a Bo Bunny rub on (romance add on) to the photo. Those pretty sparkley roses are Prima (Flora & Fauna add on).
I tucked in some Prima flowers (Floura & Fauna add on) in the tears. I used a Prima brick wall stamp (main kit) behind the title. The lovely pin (romance add on) was made by Mandy.

Scraps of Darkness *Sep Kit* ~ Betrayed by my own Passion
All I can say is, I LOVE THIS KIT!! This is some more DT work using the Passages kit from Scraps of Darkness. This kit came with some new Bo Bunny and Teresa Collins papers, that I loved mixing together to create this look. I made this page to share in 2 challenges over at SOD. One of them is the Round Robin Challenge for Team 3 week 2. Which I lifted Mandy's excellent dark page called "Lack Thereof". All I did was flip the design around and tried to make her famous edges. The other challenge is Lisa's Skeleton's in Your Closet, with the theme of who are you when no one is looking?
So I went deep on this one. Not many people (only my family) have seen this side of me. I cannot take credit for the editing of my photo, it is Mandy's magical work...thanks girl!
Journal:
When I am alone, I am my own worse person. Having passion about everything I do and everyone I am around, puts a lot of stress on me. Eventually, causing me a lot of pain, hurt, anger, sorrow, guilt and hatred that lashes out when no one is looking.
This is me in September 2011.

Scraps of Darkness Reveal *September Kit*
"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
~ Robert Frost ~
I printed some butterflies, completments of Renea. The metal piece is from Rebecca. Here is a close up on my Grandmother's handwriting.
These 2 grungy sticks are from Mandy. I stamped the coaster and misted it with some of the Smooch Spritz.
I used my SM gears chipboard frame that I got in the SOD shoppe. I painted it with gesso, Smooch Spritz (color add on) and Smooch paint (color add on). The eyelets were from my stash.
I cut the black doily flowers (Flora and Fauna add on) in half to place around the title. All the string and eyelets were from my stash.
This page came out of no where. I love when a design just evolves. I think it had to do with Andrew's shirt. I masked the brick wall on white cs. Then cut the paper to make rays, and layered it all up. I went button crazy too. This page is called "Cool Kid", June 2010.
Those bricks on the photo are DA, and came from my stash. The distressed stain is a rub on.

Scraps of Darkness *Aug Kit* ~ Simple Things
I wanted to share another page that I made using the Envy Kit from Scraps of Darkness. I loved all the beauty and shabby chic things that came in this kit. For this page, I used a sketch from one of our beloved SOD members...Ashley made such an amazing first sketch for Little Shop of Sketches, I hope you will go see for yourself HERE. I was also inspired by Mandy's page titled: Image. This is Jasmine on her 11th Birthday, getting some gifts to help her getting prepared for Science Camp. Jan 2011.
I layered my title, using some 3-D dots on a couple of alphas.

Mr Sandman ~ Scraps of Darkness & Sketches: Creatively Yours

I tried treating the DA chain and the cardboard, both with a ton of distressing techniques to make them look worn and rusty. I added some punched holes with reinforcers for more distress.
