Funny Guy ~ Scraps of Darkness & Punky Scraps

This is challenge #44 from Punky Scraps, called "Sketchy Sketch".  This design was created by Marie Mison.

This is my take on the sketch.  I made this page using some different kit papers from Scraps of Darkness. I love creating masculine pages. It is so much fun rummaging through small items in the house to find embellishments for a boy's lo. My favorite place is the toolbox, that's where I found the silver washers :) I got those dog tags from my son's room, maybe they were from new shoes/some piece of new clothing. Anyway, they were discarded onto the floor so they became mine lol. I got a small chain to tie them together and used those silver washers to cover the holes I punched in the paper. The bottle caps have metal stars inside, smothered in mod podge. I did some stamping, misting and inking to distress this page some more. Mixing up different pattern papers is also a lot of fun to make it more masculine, guys usually never wear anything that matches ;)  This is Andrew acting like a normal silly boy at our animal park in Nov 2011.  Jasmine is there in the background.

  4. You still have some of that AWESOME Prima grid paper! I LOVE that print. :) I really like the details on this page- pure GENIUS to use the tags because they go right with the "boy's life" theme. I also like the layering you did- great interpretation of the sketch. I also want to thank you for your hard work at Punky Scraps! You always make fantastic pages, add them right on time without needing a reminder from me and leave sweet comments to encourage readers- it's really great and makes ME stay on target as well. Thank you!!!
