Happy Holidays Friends! In the spirit of the season I went on ahead and made this fun Christmas page to add to my examples for the Challenge I am hosting over on Scrapbook.com. The topic is the Naughty Challenge. This challenge is for those non traditional Christmas pages. Think of The Nightmare Before Christmas for some inspiration. Some other ideas can lean toward non traditional colors such as orange, black, purple, etc. Got any pictures of your kids crying on Santa's lap or the kids/dogs getting into the presents under the tree before Christmas? Get creative and have fun and come join us!
The papers used were from old Scraps of Darkness kits as well as the leaves. The rest came from my stash. The photo (I took) is of my bestest lil friend, Cali. This was her first Christmas and she cried when she met Santa. She isn't naughty at all, but I wanted to make this a fun page. I love this lil girl. Dec 2013
I used a script stamp to lightly add to the background. And handstitched around the page. I have a tutorial on how to do that on the right of my blog when you scroll down a bit.
I used a string of pearl beads around the circle to make it pop. The bow came from a pack of 12 that I picked up a the dollar store. The peppermint die cut is from Tim Holtz.
This came from Tim Holtz's Christmas ephemera pack.

I did my best to make Santa's list on a "scroll of old paper". I drew the scroll myself, then dampened the paper with water so I could crinkle it up and finished with rubbing it with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo ink pad using Tim Holtz's ink blender.
I sewed these bells to the paper so they can still have movement to be able to jingle easily.
Very nice Cheryl!
